Common Core State Standards is a state-led effort coordinated by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). The standards were developed in collaboration with teachers, school administrators, and experts, to provide a clear and consistent framework to prepare our  children for for college and the workforce.

The New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards is a framework for education in New Jersey’s public schools and clearly define what all students should know and be able to accomplish. The NJCCCS include Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards as well as K-12 standards for the following subject areas: Visual and Performing Arts, Comprehensive Health and Physical Education, Social Studies, World Language, Technology and 21st Century Life and Careers.

The Next Generation Science Standards are based on the Framework for K-12 Science Education developed by the National Research Council. The new K-12 science standards are rich in content and practice and have been developed through a collaborative, state-led process. The NGSS are arranged in a coherent manner across disciplines and grades and have been written as performance expectations that depict what the student must do to show proficiency in science.

The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards are guidelines produced by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, setting forth recommendations for mathematics educators.

The National Council of Teachers of English is a professional association of educators in English Studies, Literacy and Language Arts.
