What are the Habits of Mind?
Robbinsville School District creates a culture that encourages students to think critically and to reflect on their thinking. Promoting everyday success and lifelong learning, Robbinsville School District infuses Habits of Mind into our curriculum and programs.
The Habits of Mind are a set of dispositions that efficient thinkers utilize when presented with a problem which the answer is not immediately apparent. These habits tend to be performed in clusters; rather than in isolation and are used in various situations. The Habits of Mind help us to think and behave intelligently when faced with challenges in life and learning. Efficient learners are ones who are self-aware and self-regulating. They are continually seeking ways to assess and modify their own thinking and behavior in order to find solutions and new perspectives.
