April 3, 2020: Happy Spring Break!

Dear Parents and Community Members,

As we enter our third week of remote learning and sheltering in place, I want to continue to let you know how much we appreciate your flexibility and willingness to adapt to a different way of learning. Please use this next week to unplug, take time to play and recharge. We would also like to extend our thanks to West Windsor-Plainsboro Superintendent Dave Aderhold.  Dr. Aderhold has put together a comprehensive collection of resources for families to access during next week’s stay-cation. You and your kids can visit the Taj Mahal, the Metropolitan Opera or the San Diego Zoo from the comfort of your own home. Here is the padlet link

Remote learning will resume on Tuesday, April 14th. Because we are extending remote learning for a longer period of time than we had originally planned, we are adding some new online instructional features that may include videos, video conferencing, and live classroom lessons.  We ask for your help by reviewing the Acceptable Use Policy once again since these live and recorded lessons are integral pieces of our formal online learning. Stay tuned for more information as we move forward.

In closing, I want to assure you that those who care for your children during the school day have made a steadfast commitment to be present for students and their parents.  Given the importance of clear communication, especially now, I encourage you to email your child’s teacher with any concerns that may arise. We value every one of our students and are committed to helping them thrive both academically and emotionally during this unprecedented moment in time.

Each of us truly misses your children and long, as we know you do, to return to the classroom.

With deep gratitude,

Kathie Foster
