A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words
Kathie Foster, Superintendent

Will it surprise you to learn that one of my favorite things to do at this time of year involves visiting the children’s section of my local bookstore? I love nothing more than settling in to peruse the newest picture books.  Although my own children are long grown, I find great comfort and joy in the ability of so many authors to weave together beautiful prose and illustrations in order to create magical tales for children and, yes, adults alike!

There is something about a good story that evokes a sense of wonder, stirs the imagination, awakens deep feelings, and challenges us to expand our definition of who we are and how we relate to the world around us.

A picture book is definitely worth a thousand words. Read more...

RHS Tennis Court Update
January 8, 2020

The district is in the process of having ten 15 foot deep test borings taken to help us understand why the court has cracked along the playing surface and around the fence and net posts. Once this process has been completed, a full geotechnical report of the soil findings will be issued. Currently, we are in the process of determining the best spots to conduct the boring tests and the logistics of bringing in the equipment needed to do so. We are moving forward under the guidance of our district architect.

We’re proud of the fact that 97% of our students graduate with college offers, having taken advantage of our state-of-the-art learning and athletic facilities, top-notch teaching staff, challenging course curriculum, and robust extracurricular life.
